Some of you might have noticed that the website was down the past couple of days. I was in the process of moving the site to a new server, and we ran into a few problems. Everything should be up and running like before as of today. Let me know if you find anything not working properly.

May 4, 2009

- Opening prayer and flag ceremony

- Introduction

- Announcement: Next month's photo contest topic is ARE YOU AFRAID OF THE DARK?

- any underexposed, dark, dramatic shots

- example: winners from the Earth Hour photo contest

- Announcement from the Contest Committee

- Deadline of entries is strictly the SATURDAY before the MONDAY meeting

- Late entries WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED ANYMORE

- entries with NO FOAM BOARD WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED

- Drop off points: Ryan Go's office at The Forum, BO's I.T Park, Banana Book SM and Banana Book BTC

- Judging of entries by our judges Danny Booc, Dodoy Desquitado, and Joy Santiago

Congratulations to all the participants and winners of the 2009 Swimsuite Photo Contest.

There were 62 entries from 31 photographers. The official list of the participants will just follow since I don't have them with me right now.

Attention to all members:

15 finalists of the Miss Mandaue Pageant will be presented on April 28 (Tuesday) at Microtel Grand Resort, Punta Engaño at 2:30pm.

The Club will be responsible for choosing the winner for Miss Photogenic.

Those who are interested, bring your cameras on the above mentioned date and place. Afterwhich, we will choose our best photos of the finalists and select the winner.

Think of this as an extension of our Swimsuit Photoshoot.

Congrats to us all for a very enjoyable day of shooting. The really tough job of selecting your winning shoots begins.

Submission of entries: May 1, Friday.
Submit entries to Elmer Lim at Bo's IT Park and Ryan Go at the Forum.
Entry fee: P 200 (maximum of 2 entries, 10x15 w/ or w/o border mounted on foam board)
Contest Date: May 4, Monday (during our meeting)
*entries must show the models in their swimwear. Head shots and topless shots will be disqualified.

Good luck to all.

If you have documentation pics of our swimsuit outing or funny shots of your fellow fotogs, please email them to me so that I can include it in our newsletter.

I added a rating system for all uploaded photos in the gallery. Just click how many stars you think the photo is worth 1-5.
